Lucky the Chihuahua
I have he sketch under the paper that gets colored along with the image I'm recreating close by for comparison. It can be a long process with many details but very enjoyable.
Even though the paper is white, I still use a white color pencil for the fur and other features. It helps give texture to the image.
With the puppy colored then It's time for the background, I chose to draw a basket as opposed as the original which was him in my hand
I like the softness and texture that the color pencils give the finished picture.
